With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Merlin Eugene Olson of Olathe, Kansas, born in Assaria, Kansas, who passed away on February 17, 2023 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Olson and Edith Olson (Anderson); his wife Mary Olson; his stepdaughter Rose Jost of San Diego, CA; his grandchildren, Hannah Jost of Studio City, CA, Allison Balke (Taylor) of San Diego, CA and Trevor Jost of San Diego, CA; and his great grandchild Rory Balke. He was also cherished by his nephews, nieces, and cousins.
The family requests that memorial contributions in Merlin's memory be made to the American Legion, Post 153 or St Jude's Children's Hospital.
