He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Welch and Bernice Welch (Welsh); his wife Catherine Alta Baldwin; his children, Kenneth Welch and LaVonne Garcia; and his grandson Justin Welch.

He is survived by: his children, Daniel Welch (Gabi) of Paola, Carrie Williamson of Overland Park and Michael Brogoto of Kansas City, MO. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Memorials contributions are suggested to the DAV Chapter 34.
