She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold "Joe" Owen and Florence Owen (Maddock); her brother Stephen K. Owen; and her former husband Danny D. Ellis. She is survived by: her siblings, D. Nelson Owen (Diane) and Jeannie Owen (Sandy Griffin); and her children, Terri Edwards (Michael), Randy Ellis (Tina) and Don Ellis (Donna). She is also survived by five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
