He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Benschoter and Edna Mae Benschoter Lolley; his stepfather Gerald "Jake" Lolley; his parents-in-law, Betty J and George Lopez Jr.; and his brother-in-law George Lopez III.
He is survived by: his wife Bertha "Bert" Benschoter; his children, Brandon and Brianna; his sisters-in-law, Lupe Warner of Kansas City, MO and Jovita Kane of Jay, OK; and his siblings, Terry Benschoter (Suzanne Bateman) of Grantville, KS and Katherine "Kathe" Clark (Terry) of McLouth, KS. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
