Shirley Joyce McCoy Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Joyce McCoy of Olathe, Kansas, who passed away on August 12, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Gottschalck and Bernice Gottschalck (Bevins); her husband Chuck; her sister Bonnie Incontro; her parents-in-law, Lyle and Ivy McCoy; and her brothers-in-law, Jerry Ostransky and JC McCoy.

She is survived by: her children, Tim McCoy (Kelly) of Olathe, KS, Bev McCoy (Cecil) of Harrisonville, MO, Tom McCoy (Nicki) of Marceline, MO and Jeanine Gentry (Craig) of Moraga, CA; her grandchildren, Melissa (Paul), Mechelle of Lora, TJ, Kyle, Nate, Hunter, Hailey, Brandon and Maya; her great grandchildren, Ella, Elias, Elliott, Everly, Susan and Emma; her siblings, Carl Gottschalck (Janie) of Omaha, NE and Judy Ostransky of Wahoo, NE; her siblings-in-law, Charlie Incontro of Omaha, NE and Barbara McCoy of Overland Park, KS; and her pet Carlee. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Olathe Hospice House or Wayside Waifs.
