He was predeceased by: his parents, John Helms, Sr. and Joyce Marie Adams (Liming); and his brother John Helms Adams, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Tonya; his children, Scott Adams (Jerri), Morgan Anderson (Stewart), Thomas Nichols (Brindy), Matthew Nichols, Kelli, Jonathan, Ayden, Carson, Stephanie, Danny, Micah and Jenesis; and his sister-in-law Rhonda Adams.
