He was predeceased by: his parents, Phillip Kirkwood and Margaret Kirkwood; his siblings, Phillip "Kirk" Kirkwood (Joyce) and Karen "Kae" Vampola (Al); and his son Thomas "Tiger" Robert Jr..
He is survived by: his wife JoAnn; his children, Catherine Smith (Scott), Christine Hamele (Scott), Valerie Brunk (Bill), Rick Brunk and Darrin Brunk (Emily); and his brother Mike Kirkwood (Teri). He is also survived by his siblings' spouses, nephews, nieces.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 11505 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, KS 66203.
