He was predeceased by: his parents, William G. Bruning and Mary Florence Bruning (Livingston); his former wife Ann; and his wife Sharon Bruning (Fleming). He is survived by: his grandchildren, Christine, Cathy, Cindy, Rachel, Ali, Danny, Sam, Luke, Joe, Annie, Nick, Andy, Katie, Michael and Anna. He is also survived by his children and their spouses.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church (11300 W 103rd St, Overland Park, KS 66214, USA). A rosary was held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 at 7:40 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
