He was predeceased by: his parents, Reuben James and Pearl Walter (Clinger); his wife Anna Belle Walter; his son Phillip Gray Walter; and his great grandchild Kendyl Walter.

He is survived by: his sons, Jerry Walter (Karen) of Overland Park, KS, Patrick Walter (Annette) of Friendswood, TX and Mark Walter (Diane) of Princeton, IN; and his grandchildren, Bobby, Chris, Edward, David, Christopher Walter and Christi Franklin. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Good Samaritan Fund of Aberdeen Village, 17500 119th St., Olathe Kansas 66061.
