He was predeceased by: his parents, Ashley Boyd and Lizzy Boyd (Smith); his stepdaughter Velvet Eargle; his siblings, Donnie Boyd, Howard Boyd and Barbara-Ann Cosnahan (Boyd); and his granddaughter Ashleigh Boyd.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Churchwell; his sons, Cherokee Boyd of Estes Park and Richard Boyd of Silver Lake; his stepdaughter Cindy Martin of Elgin; and his sister Shelby Giacobone of Bath. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
