He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Harold Shirey and Harriett Cramer Shirey; his wife Miriam Herrick-Shirey; his children, Mark Shirey and Rebecca Shirey; his stepsons, Rodger Herrick and Ray Herrick II (Amanda); his grandchildren, Josh, Alisha Shirey, Adrianna Lynch and Lena Rose Shirey; his great grandchild Kashus Lynch; his siblings, Linda Mitchell, Timothy Shirey (Marilyn), Patrick Shirey (Carol) and Theresa Grescheck (Tony); and his grandsons, Jonathan and Steven Jefferson.
