He is survived by: his wife Janice E. Nelson; and his children, Lynn Tice (Jeff) of Osage City, Larry Smart of Frankfort and Lyle Smart (Brenda) of Hutchinson.
Memorial contributions may be made to SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy) in honor of his granddaughter Shanae and sent in care of the funeral chapel.
