He was predeceased by : his parents, George Parks and Ellen Holmes Parks; his wife Shirley; his brothers, Derald Parks (Lois) and Ralph Parks (Nina); his parents-in-law, Ed and Fern Johnson; and his siblings-in-law, Dr. Lawrence Johnson (Doris), Glenn Johnson (Lois), Norman Johnson, Gary Johnson, Carlene Parks, Marilyn Miller (Byron), Ardis Williams (Bill) and Christine Johnson.

He is survived by : his children, Carolyn Duncan (Ron), Dianne Stapleton (Paul), David Parks (Sarah) and Duane Parks (Chris); his brother Paul; and his sisters-in-law, Berenice Tredway (Larry) and Pat Johnson. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.
