He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Victor and Hazel Viola Drake (Walker); his wife Marjorie Ann King; and his siblings, Roy Sparks, Ned Sparks, Pat Sparks, William Drake and Mary Crampton.

He is survived by : his children, Robert David Drake (Susan) of Osage City, Randall Eugene Drake (Jodie) of Overbrook, Susan Leigh Hickam (James) of Wichita, Rebecca Lynn May (Norman) of Fort Cavazos and Meredith Loy of Kansas City; and his sister Maggie Hinrichs of Manhattan. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
