It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ardyth Rice of Osawatomie, Kansas, born in Fort Scott, Kansas, who passed away on August 23, 2022, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Ardith Horttor and Eva Jo Horttor (Klopp); her husband Merwin Brooks Rice; her granddaughter Madison Rice; and her siblings, Carl Horttor and Evalyn Stites.

She is survived by : her children, James Rice (Andrea) of Nampa, ID, Aaron Rice (Angel) of Linn Valley, KS and Angela Weiss (Chuck) of Lebo, KS; her grandchildren, Austin Weiss (Ashleigh), Misty Weiss, Dylan Rice (Addie), Colton Rice, Nichole Rice and Conrad Rice; her great grandchild Theodore Weiss; and her siblings, Dee Horttor (Kathleen) of Blue Mound and Carol Cowel (Delbert) of Valley Center, Kansas. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
