He was predeceased by: his parents, Wellington Lionel and Ruth Harriet Tyrrell (Healy). He is survived by: his wife Nancy Harris; his children, Michelle (Nate Unger), Steven (Amy Hainline-Tyrrell) and Julie (Michael Kliner); his brothers, Rodger Tyrrell and Don Tyrrell; and his grandchildren, Derek Kirkland, Shea Tyrrell, Logan Unger, Rachel Kirkland and Paige Unger.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Birchard Funeral Home (203 Main St, Osawatomie, KS 66064). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Osawatomie United Methodist Church (504 Pacific Ave, Osawatomie, KS 66064).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Doug's name to the charity of your choice or to the Osawatomie USD #367 Rotary Student Needs Fund.
