With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Susan Elaine Dempsey (Osawatomie, Kansas), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Orville D. Sumrall and Mary F. Meiers Sumrall; her daughter Katie Mitzner; and her siblings, Sharon Dela Cruz, Paul Tyrell Jr. and Chris Tyrell.
She is survived by: her daughters, Mariann Dempsey, Jamie Dees (David), Natalie Dempsey and Emily Dempsey; her son-in-law Jim Mitzner; her siblings, Denis Sumrall, Kenneth Sumrall, Bryan Tyrell, Sheila Schultz and Leslie Spitzenberger; her sisters-in-law, Rosemary Branson (Paul), Anna Workman (Bob), Helen Ogden (Gary) and Catherine Smith (Les); her grandchildren, Andrew, Garrett, Avery, Jackson, Joseph and Jessa; and her great grandchild Holstyn. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
