He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest G. Simmelink and Matilda Simmelink (Riedel); his wife Penny Simmelink; his son-in-law Eric Stanton; and his sisters, Linda Sue Simmelink and Lillie Marie Odle.
He is survived by: his daughter Kristal Stanton; his grandson Rhiley Stanton; and his nephew Khris Henderson. He is also survived by extended family members and friends.
The family has requested memorial contributions be made in lieu of flowers to the Osborne County Memorial Hospital Pathway to Wellness Project.
