He was predeceased by: his parent Dallas Murphy; his grandparents, Karl "Charlie" and Caroline "Mary" Panzer; his wife Melba Donley; his mother Rosaline Peterman (Panzer); his siblings, Mary Lou Pflughoeft and Gene Peterman; his daughter-in-law Karen Murphy; and his granddaughter Rachael Wilson.
He is survived by: his aunts, Ruth Panzer and Louise; his uncle George "Billy" Bettenbrock; his sons, Terry, Daniel, Carlin and Richard; his family, Erick, Julie Rankin, Rylee, Alex Christensen, Daniel, Linda Murphy, Danielle, Toby Brown (family: Braeden, Melissa Murphy, Brady Wilson, Jessica, Carlos Labrador), Carlin, Stephanie Murphy, Richard and Gene Murphy; and his siblings, Jesse Kralik, Robert Peterman, Anna Marie Wolting and Georgia Prochaska. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rentschler Family Mortuaries Osborne Chapel (238 N 1st St, Osborne, KS 67473). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Peace Lutheran Church (705 N 5th St, Natoma, KS 67651). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Ellsworth Memorial Cemetery (910 E 8th St, Ellsworth, KS 67439).
