She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry "Jack" Searan and Lillie Bea Watkins (Watkins); her former husband Kenneth E. "Big Kenny" Smith, Sr.; her daughter Cathy Jean Smith; her granddaughter Meagan Elaine; and her siblings, Dan, Rex, Tom, Orvin, Frankie, Mary, Thora, Johnnie and Otto.
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth E. Smith, Jr. (Chris) of Kansas City, Missouri, Angela McKee (Justin) of Oswego, Kansas and Jennifer Trisler (Dan) of Pittsburg, Kansas.; her grandchildren, Kayleigh, Domanique, Katrena, MacKenzie, Luke, Braden, Laney and Logan; and her siblings, Jackie, Ruth and Mammie. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, loving extended family and countless friends.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Derfelt Funeral Home - Oswego (203 Illinois St, Oswego, KS 67356). A reception will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Oswego Christian Church (11048 US-59, Oswego, KS 67356). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Fairview Cemetery (2602 Woodland Ave, Coffeyville, KS 67337).
