He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Cosby and Etta Cosby (Padgett); and his brother Richard Cosby. He is survived by: his children, John Cosby of El Dorado, Joe Cosby (Rene) of Parsons, Pam Harrington (Rick) of Rock Port, Belinda Houston (Jim) of Bartlett, Cindy Wallace of Parsons, Julie Barnes of Weatherford and Crystal Golston of Frontenac; and his siblings, Junior Cosby of Parsons, Ruby Lyon of Wichita, Marge Richardson of Rose Hill, Vickie Selvidge of Wichita and Dora Cunningham (Charlie) of Parsons. He is also survived by Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
