He is survived by: his wife Lisa Strickland; his children, Sara (Trey Thompson) of Altamont, Justin (Chelsea Strickland) of Oswego, Garrett Strickland of Oswego and Laci (Gage Harding) of St. Paul; his grandchildren, Tynlie, Wyatt, Walker Thompson, Ava, Annie and Alice; his mother Donna Strickland of Oswego; and his siblings, Joyce (Kevin Fox) of McCune, Janet (Mark Johnston) of Oswego, Judy Pease of Oswego and Neal Cruse of Oswego.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Derfelt Funeral Home (203 Illinois St, Oswego, KS 67356). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Oswego and Bartlett Fire Department in care of the funeral home.
