With sadness, we share the passing of Lyn Edward Kirk of Oswego, Kansas. Lyn, born on March 5, 1940, passed away on October 6, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Lyn for his warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. While he will be deeply missed, the influence he had on the lives around him remains. Loved ones will reflect on the time spent together. Lyn’s memory will live on in the hearts of friends and family, a lasting reminder of the connections and experiences he brought to the world.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Kirk and Marjorie Kirk; and his grandson Jeffrey Vance. He is survived by: his wife Jan; his daughters, Kelly Vance (Roger) of Miami and Dusty Jones (Donnie) of Oswego; his grandson Jared Jones (Amanda) of Oswego; and his sisters, Eileen Dietz of Pittsburg and Janice Haynes of Jackson. He is also survived by three great-granddaughters, two great-grandsons, and several nieces and one nephew.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (302 Merchant St, Oswego, KS 67356). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
