He is survived by: his wife Karen McIlvain (Gillespie); his children, Kimberly McIlvain of Lane, Kansas, Kristina White of Osawatomie, Kansas, Wanda Turner (Gary) of Ottawa, Kansas, Anita Hendricks (Mark) of Ottawa, Kansas, Jacki Glendening (Bret) of Osawatomie, Kansas and Carson Maxwell (Shai) of Colorado; his siblings, Earlene Schulz (Jim) of Rantoul, Kansas and Dennis McIlvain; and his adoptive daughter Dawn Tegtmeyer.
