He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle Andrew Rose and Wilma Lucile Rose (Searle); his uncle Joe Searle; his brothers-in-law, Duane Larson and Jerry Fritts; and his father-in-law John Fritts.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his children, Chris Rose (Fonda) of Ottawa, Layna, Landree Rose and Jason Rose (Bobbie) of Sabetha; his grandchildren, Finley and Arden Rose; his sister Susie Larson of Manhattan, Kansas; his mother-in-law Opal Fritts; and his siblings-in-law, Randy, Joyce Smith and Debbie Fritts. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Greenwood Community Center (2705 Florida Rd, Ottawa, KS 66067).
David faced Parkinson's disease for 16 years with dignity and grace.
