He is survived by: his children, Dustin McIlvain (Sara), Dana York (David) and Deanna Starshine; his sister Earlene Schulz (Jim); his grandchildren, Danielle York, Darci Sanborn, Derek York, Dillon McIlvain and Kylie McIlvain; and his great grandchild Wallace McIlvain.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Dengel & Son Mortuary - Crematory (235 S Hickory St, Ottawa, KS 66067). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Ruhamah Cemetery (4190 Jackson Rd, Rantoul, KS 66079).
