She was predeceased by : her parents, Arthur Griffin and Jessie Griffin (Gibson); her husband Mosie Cox; her children, Jim Cox and Lena Mitchell; her siblings, Jack Griffin, Mabel Holland, Pearl and Rose; her granddaughter Pam Kirkland; and her great grandchild Kendra.

She is survived by : her daughters, Sue Houston (John) of Ottawa, KS and Kay McCurdy (Jim) of Ottawa, KS; her niece Dixie Taylor (Oscar) of Ottawa, KS; and her sister Lucille Haynes of Kansas City, MO.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home (325 S Hickory St, Ottawa, KS 66067). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Highland Cemetery (1050 E 15th St, Ottawa, KS 66067).
