We are sad to announce that on December 7, 2025, at the age of 82, Franklin Yates (Ottawa, Kansas) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Yates and Letha Yates (Allen); his siblings, David Yates and Sally Kramer (Yates); and his brother-in-law Michael Brooks.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lois (Snell); his children, Tammie Dehn (Rick), Brian Yates (Susan), Robyn Klein (Erik) and Crystal Smith (Matt); his grandchildren, Lauren Carollo (Cameron), Brianna Parenti (Caleb), Alyssa McQuitty (Beckett), Brandon Yates (Marlene), Morgan Klein, Gavin Smith, Ava Smith and Ella Klein; his great-grandparent Franklin McQuitty; and his sister Sandra Brooks.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Grace Community Fellowship (501 S Poplar St, Ottawa, KS 66067). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Highland Cemetery (1050 E 15th St, Ottawa, KS 66067).
In lieu of flowers or other gifts, contributions may be made to Grace Community Fellowship where he and his wife attended.
