We are sad to announce that, on December 7, 2025, at the age of 82, Franklin Yates (Ottawa, Kansas) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Yates and Letha Yates (Allen); his siblings, David Yates and Sally Kramer (Yates); and his brother-in-law Michael Brooks.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lois (Snell); his children, Tammie Dehn (Rick), Brian Yates (Susan), Robyn Klein (Erik) and Crystal Smith (Matt); his grandchildren, Lauren Carollo (Cameron), Brianna Parenti (Caleb), Alyssa McQuitty (Beckett), Brandon Yates (Marlene), Morgan Klein, Gavin Smith, Ava Smith and Ella Klein; his great-grandparent Franklin McQuitty; and his sister Sandra Brooks.
In lieu of flowers or other gifts, contributions may be made to Grace Community Fellowship where he and his wife attended.
