It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Allen Fritts (Ottawa, Kansas), who passed away on January 18, 2026, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Jerry departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Jerry may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Jerry leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his father John "Junior" Fritts; and his grandson Mason Blitch. He is survived by: his mother Opal Fritts (Shibe) of Ottawa; his wife Debbie Blitch; his children, Julie Hendricks (Mike) of Tecumseh, Tracy Roche (Chris) of Overland Park, Travis Fritts (Hollie) of Emporia, Jay Blitch (Julie Branson) of Perry and Joel Blitch (Kamischa) of Edgerton; and his sisters, Shirley Rose (David) and Joyce Smith (Randy) of Ottawa. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
