She was predeceased by : her parents, Charles Joseph and Mary Kathryn Kavanaugh (Barker); and her brother Giles Joseph Kavanaugh. She is survived by : her husband Dick; her children, Clay Sheldon of Ottawa and Ann Brown (Greg) of Edgerton, Kansas; her sister-in-law Peach Kavanaugh of Yorktown, Virginia; and her grandchildren, Payton Henes (Philip), Regan Sheldon, James Sheldon and Mack Brown.

In lieu of flowers Kathy was a proud supporter of Tunnel to Towers and Wounded Warriors if you wish to donate in her name.
