She is survived by: her children, William R. Burgess (Marcia McGarry) of Greenville, Katherine A. Reynolds (Robert) of Olathe, Walter W. Burgess (Coleen) of Baldwin, Merlene Ruckert of Overland Park and Nola Burgess of Ottawa, Kansas; and her grandchildren, Steven Burgess of Iola, David Burgess of Midland, Brian M. Burgess of Minnesott Beach, Brett Reynolds of Gardner, Mark Reynolds of Ottawa, Scott Reynolds of Ottawa, Heath Burgess of Wellsville, Chad Peed of Baldwin City, Jason Peed of Overland Park, Michael Ruckert of Manhattan, Kansas, Megan M. Stein (Burgess) of Richmond Hill, Georgia, Lindsey Longpine (Burgess) of Gardner, Jennifer Hill (Peed) of Topeka and Karen Kassakhian (Ruckert) of Sierra Madre, California. She is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Westminster Presbyterian Church (401 W 13th St, Ottawa, KS 66067). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Oak Hill Cemetery.
