He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew Milan and Letha Mae Knight (Rose); and his siblings, Anna Rose Barber, Harvey Knight and Bob Knight.

He is survived by: his wife Connie Sue Berberich; his children, R. Bradley "Brad" Knight (Pam), Todd Knight, Jacob Knight, Rhonda Sylvia (Mark) and Rochelle Knight; his sisters, Debra Harris (Larry), Kaye Counts, Joyce Long and Cheryl Weiss (Mike); and his sisters-in-law, Shirley Knight and Linda Knight. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
