He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle Shaffer and Marjorie Shaffer (Recek); and his brother William Shaffer. He is survived by: his children, Brad Shaffer (Diana) of Overbrook, KS and Brenda Dahl (Derrick) of Overbrook, KS; his brother Lyle Ardene Shaffer of Joplin, MO; and his grandchildren, Corey Dahl (Kilee), Alex Dahl (Natasha), Shelby Hedke (Alex), Hayley Swan (Richard) and Tyler Shaffer (Alex). He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
