He is survived by: his wife Mette Cook; his children, Kevin Cook (Grace) of Linn, Missouri, Keri Carl (Bill), Bobby Coates (Andrea) of Shawnee, Kansas and Erik Coates (Angela) of Shawnee, Kansas.; his grandchildren, Alex, Courtney, Hailey, Hannah, Gracie, Evan and Gavin; his siblings, Danny Cook (Karen), Brenda McKenzie (Jim) and Dallas Cook (Sherry); and his mother-in-law Inger. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, and in-laws.
