She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. John Walker and Elizabeth R. Walker (Murray); her husband Glenn A. Petersen; and her siblings, Michael Walker and Elizabeth Scoenberger.
She is survived by: her children, Christopher Petersen (Elizabeth) of Oklahoma City, Okla., Ursula Trent (Paul) of Overland Park, Kan and Jill Schmitz (Michael) of West Des Moines; her grandchildren, Patrick Petersen, Riley, Tanner, Cooper, Payton Trent, Christopher, Crosby and Zeke Schmitz; and her siblings, John Walker II, Martha Johnston (Walker), Susan Crouse (Walker), Marietta Mershon (Walker), Margie Hieb (Walker) and Tricia Leese (Walker).
A rosary will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the St. Edward Catholic Church (1423 Kimball Ave, Waterloo, IA 50701). Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
