She was predeceased by: her husband Harlan. She is survived by: her children, Ron Hook (Brenda) of Chilhowee, MO and Cristy Pierson (Ernie) of Overland Park, KS; her grandchildren, Jackie Hancock (Heath) of Leawood, KS, Josh Pierson (Molly) of Overland Park, KS, Kevin Hook of Kansas City, MO and Nadine Badu (David) of Mannheim, Germany.; and her great grandchildren, Hannah, Henry Hancock, Helen, Hazel, William Pierson, Alex Hook, Alina Hook, Tamia and Ashanti Badu.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home (10507 Holmes Rd, Kansas City, MO 64131).
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations to Advanced Home Health and Hospice of KC or Nall Avenue Baptist Church, 6701 Nall Avenue, Prairie Village, KS 66208.
