We announce the death of Herbert Stein of Overland Park, Kansas, who passed away on July 16, 2026, at the age of 86. Herbert will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Morris Stein and Fannie Stein; and his brothers, Albert Stein and Bernard Stein. He is survived by: his wife Alice; his children, Eric Stein (Kathy) of Wilmette, Illinois, Jennifer Goedeke (Tom) of Chesterfield, Missouri and Adam Stein (Paula Mahayosnand) of Jersey City; his grandchildren, Zach and Daniel Stein; his children, Jessica, Trace Goedeke, Isabella and Kaya Stein; and his siblings-in-law, Debbie and Steve Mack. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, those who would like to honor Herb's memory are invited to make a contribution to Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care or to a charity of their choice.
