With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan M. Lons (Overland Park, Kansas), who passed away on November 1, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Pete Lons; and her siblings, Kathryn Martell and Jim Heffernon. She is survived by: her children, Bob Lons (Joan) of Olathe, KS, Annette Cook (Doug) of Overland Park, KS and Kristin Greet (Bill) of Overland Park, KS; her grandchildren, Deprise Lons, Lexi Lons, Austin Cook (Lyndsey), Spencer Cook, Carsyn Greet, Rylee Greet and Kayli Greet; and her brother John Heffernon (Mary Anne).
Joan suffered with dementia and Alzheimer's for many years so memorials are suggested, and would be greatly appreciated by her family, to the Alzheimer Association.
