It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Kyle Edmundson of Overland Park, Kansas, born in Dighton, Kansas, who passed away on March 30, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harve S. "Jack" Edmundson and Viola Marie Edmundson (Smith); his wife A. Delores Edmundson (McCoy); his son John Douglas "Doug" Edmundson; his brothers, William S. "Bill" James, Robin K. "Bob" James, James S. "Jamie" Edmundson and Max Edmundson; his granddaughter Cinnamon Louise Smith; and his son-in-law Kelley Patton.
He is survived by: his daughters, Deena Raye Smith (Shadrach Smith) and Debra Sue Patton; his daughter-in-law Jan Bezinque (John); his grandchildren, Angela Spurgeon (Danny Spurgeon), Jesse Edmundson (Chalimar), Jasmin Moore (W. Todd Moore), Amanda Talbott and Keesha Kitterman (Shane); his great grandchildren, Cole Henry, Ezekiel Moore, Xavier Moore, Sage Edmundson, Maddy Jo Edmundson, Christian Simmons, Braylon Kitterman and Landon Kitterman; and his great great grandchild Oaklynn Henry. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The loving care provided by Jan Bezinque and Jill Cartwright allowed John to remain safely in his home through the COVID-19 pandemic.
