He is survived by: his wife Terrie Van Dolah; and his sons, Joseph S. Van Dolah Jr., Rick Van Dolah (Gina) and Dr. Dustin K. Van Dolah (Carrie). He is also survived by seven grandchildren & three great-grandchildren.
