With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Larry Gillespie (Overland Park, Kansas), born in Leavenworth, Kansas, who passed away on August 4, 2020. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Larry Gillespie to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Gillespie and Dorothy Gillespie (Kramer); his brother Ray Gillespie; and his stepsister Trudi Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Sherry (Giles); his children, Marcie McTaggart (John), Amber Schrage (Greg), Ashley Wiseman (Josh) and Jared Gillespie (Jaime); his siblings, Jean Dunnigan and Gary Gillespie; his stepbrothers, John Harris and Jim Harris; and his grandchildren, Dylan, Rylie Wiseman, Zane, Alden Schrage and Reeve Gillespie.

Due to the pandemic, no family gathering will be held after the ceremony.

In lieu of flowers, the family recommends memorial contributions be sent to Church of the Ascension, Ascend Hospice, or The University of Kansas Cancer Center.
