It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lorene Elizabeth Giessenbier (Overland Park, Kansas), who passed away on August 4, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Chris Keltsch and Bertha Keltsch; and her husband Rudolph William Giessenbier. She is survived by: her children, Janice VanLaningham and Rudene Niedenthal (Galen); her grandchildren, Ryan VanLaningham (Rachel), Brant Niedenthal (Sara), Renee VanLaningham, Troy Niedenthal and Crisda Waters (Justin); and her great grandchildren, Tyler VanLaningham, Lila, Claire Niedenthal, Cade, Jaysa and Hadley Waters.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Johnson County Funeral Chapel (11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS 66210). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
