It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Yvonne Matthews of Overland Park, Kansas, who passed away on August 15, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Milam Hanson and Wilma Lucille Hanson (Reasoner); her siblings, James and Doris Pearson; and her daughter Kimberly Nichols.
She is survived by: her husband Roger Matthews of Overland Park, KS; her sister Phyliss Kerr of Joplin, MO; her children, Matt (Susan) of Ottawa, Rex Matthews (Melissa) of Gilbert, AZ, MJ Matthews-Tveit of Overland Park and Nina Matthews (Chris Weiss) of Tucson, AZ; and her grandchildren, Roscoe Mattthews (Mandy), Cody Matthews-Tviet, Darby Scout Matthews-Tveit, Heath Nichols Jade (Emily), Austin Matthews, Talon Trecek, Tipton Trecek, Katie Trecek, Ashley Cruz (Javier), Erick Saenz, Rosalinda Saenz and Yvonne Saenz of Tucson, AZ..
