As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Matthew may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He is survived by: his parents, Gary Winters (Chris) and Joy Winters (Pedersen); his daughter Claire; his siblings, Todd Winters (Stacy), Gina Belich (Jessie) and Maggie Miller; his aunt Janet; and his uncle Larry Kramer. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews, and other extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory (5005 Frederick Ave Suite A, St Joseph, MO 64506). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Todd Winters for a trust for Matthew's daughter, Claire.
