He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Owen and Sharon Owen (Ahern). He is survived by: his wife Phyllis (Umscheid); his children, Abbie Fuqua (Chad) and Kyle Owen; his stepchildren, Jamie Finical (Mark) and Tim Berends (Kendra); his grandchildren, Kristin Finical, Andrea Finical, Trevor Berends, Evan Fuqua, Julia Berends, Cavan Fuqua, Victoria Berends, Finn Fuqua and Brock Berends; and his siblings, Kellene Polson (Tim), Erin Owen, Kevin Owen (Lisa) and Sheila Welch (Bart). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Church of the Ascension (95110 W 127th St, Overland Park, KS 66213). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, August 11th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Joseph Cemetery.
