He was predeceased by: his parents, Phillip Lons and Jean Lons; and his siblings, Gloria Lons and Jim Lons. He is survived by: his wife Joan (Heffernon); his children, Bob Lons (Joan) of Olathe, KS, Annette Cook (Doug) of Overland Park, KS and Kristin Greet (Bill) of Overland Park, KS; and his grandchildren, Deprise Lons, Lexi Lons, Austin Cook (Lyndsey), Spencer Cook, Carsyn Greet, Rylee Greet and Kayli Greet.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Wounded Warrior Project.
