He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Yunghans and Edith Yunghans (Zane); his wife Elsie Yunghans (Sherrard); his daughter Edith Fry Sneed (Yunghans); and his siblings, Zane, Charles, Robert, Sherman and Opal Fulk (Yunghans).
He is survived by: his children, Sandra Myszka (Yunghans), Nancy Chronister (Yunghans) and Richard Yunghans II. He is also survived by his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Davis Funeral Chapel (531 Shawnee St, Leavenworth, KS 66048). A graveside service was held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Mount Muncie Cemetery (1500 N 8th St, Lansing, KS 66043).
