It is with sadness that the passing of Roger William Rhoades of Overland Park, Kansas is shared. Roger passed away on October 2, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Rhoades and Laura Rhoades (Parrish); and his siblings, Larry Rhoades and Bev Stephens. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Jean Rhoades; his children, John (Michelle Rhoades) and Janel (Matthew O'Donnell); and his grandchildren, Isabella, Will Hugh, Gus, Rory, Henry and Francine O'Donnell.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Porter Funeral Home (8535 Monrovia, Lenexa, KS 66215). A rosary will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 4:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Old St. Patrick Oratory (806 Cherry St, Kansas City, MO 64106).
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation, American Transplant Foundation or the Heart Failure Foundation.
