He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Davis, Sr. and Sylvia Perkins Davis; his wife Louise Davis; his stepsons, Earl C. Freeman and John G. Freeman; and his siblings, Otis Davis, Jr., Leo Davis, Lee Wallace Davis, James Davis, Cleo Davis Muldrew, Janice Davis Holden, Viola Davis Haynes, Betty Davis and Ethel Lee Hamilton.

He is survived by: his children, Terence Swagger (Mattie) and Robin Marshall (Glenn); and his stepdaughters, Nedra Freeman and Elaine Lucas. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Longview Funeral Home (12700 SE Raytown Rd, Kansas City, MO 64149). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Longview Cemetery (12700 SE Raytown Rd, Kansas City, MO 64149).
