He was predeceased by: his parents, William Thomas and Gertrude Claire Fay (Koll); his half-brothers, William Sargent Fay and Charles Lynn McInnes; his siblings, Mary Fay, James Robert Fay and John Clement Fay; and the mother of his children Connie Sue Fay (Jarrett).
He is survived by: his wife Connie Sue Jarrett; his children, Susan Bernadette Arnold (Matthew) of Overland Park, KS, Mary Michelle Mueller (Steve) of Deep Gap, NC and Michael Shane Fay of Independence, MO; and his granddaughter Danielle Marie Fay-Addink of Emporia, KS. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
